First thing
A good idea is the number one element for action. A good click and you are ready for anything. The click for me is the idea of the "Road Movie". My thing? Just loading up the motorcycle, a map, my girl friend confortably sitting back and the road is ours with as many miles as possible. The destination is not so important. Well, as a matter of fact, it does somewhat matter because the goal we wish to reach is very important indeed, the reason we have traveled through countries in which we do not speak the language and where our behavior has respected the customs of the people we have met.

    Right now, we must admit that the United States of America is also a very good reason if not the main one. Who, as a European, has never dreamt of crossing the Atlantic Ocean to see and listen to these Indians (the real ones of my childhood), these cowboys (our cousins of course), people ten years ahead as far as tremendousness? So, could there be any other road but the best; "The Mother Road": Route 66 draining so many stories?...

  • In the other states, it is a constant research of Historic Route 66. Often we find it, but too late. Route 66 is practicable and more funny than the Interstate, so, you miss it. Indeed, the indications exist but on the main way (I40, I44...). It is therefore essential to obtain maps of Route66 as quickly as possible, because it is only partially indicated on official maps.
